At KAMSC, we believe the well-being of our students is of the upmost importance. This program allows us to collect stakeholder data and use research-based practices to meet our students needs in the areas of their wellbeing and their engagement in their learning here at KAMSC.
KAMSC began working with Stanford's Challenge Success program in the 2023-2024 school year and continues to be a partner school with the program. KAMSC has a Challenge Success School Improvement Team made up of 3-5 staff members, 5 students, 1 parent, and 1 community member. The Challenge Success program provides a coach for the Challenge Success team.
Focus/Goal Areas of Challenge Success are:
- Well-being
- Engagement
- Belonging
Here is a link to KAMSC’s Four Year Challenge Success Plan with goals areas driven by data collected (baseline fall 2023 and check in with students Spring 2025). Please note that this is a dynamic plan that continues to be updates based on feedback from our parents, team and student body. We will update the link if needed twice per year (fall and spring) should any changes, or additions be made.
KAMSC is thrilled that Challenge Success has asked us to be a Spotlight School with them.
“Working with KAMSC has been a powerful experience both for me and the school community. Together, we’ve created space for students, families, and staff to reflect on what truly matters in education—well-being, balance, and meaningful engagement. I’ve seen the community grow more intentional about aligning practices with values, and it has deepened my own commitment to fostering student voice and sustainable change. This partnership has reminded me that when schools prioritize the whole child, the impact extends far beyond academics.” (Challenge Success Coach Statement)
